Architectural Mesh Developments BAU 2017
From 16 to 21 January 2017 the exhibition BAU, the world's leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems, opens again in Munich. W.S. Tyler (subsidiary of Germany-based Haver & Boecker) will presenting new architectural meshes and well-tried solutions in the areas of façades, ceilings and walls. The focus will be on a new sun protection wire mesh as well as the transparent media façade system IMAGIC WEAVE®.
Sun protection with TYLERArchitectural Mesh: LARGO-TWIST
TYLER Architectural Mesh combines function and outstanding design in an attractive way and due to its semi-transparent geometry, metal mesh is well suitable as external sun protection.
Woven wire mesh provides shade and reduces temperature in the summer, while maintaining warmth and reducing heating costs in the winter. The sun protection mesh LARGO-TWIST developed by Haver & Boecker surpasses all previous shading values of usual wire meshes. Independent tests have shown that this wire mesh reduces the energy input of sunlight at an angle of incidence of 60 ° by more than 90%. The general advantages of architectural mesh as sun protection with excellent use of daylight, good transparency from the inside and natural ventilation are also retained in this type of mesh.
Transparent Media Facade IMAGIC WEAVE®
The impressive IMAGIC WEAVE® media facade is also a must at the BAU 2017. The transparent media façade system is a fusion of TYLER Architectural Mesh and the latest LED technology. It creates with an infinite number of colors individually programmable lighting effects, from simple graphics to live video coverage on new or existing facades. IMAGIC WEAVE® transforms airport buildings, stadiums, shopping malls, skyscrapers and other large buildings into exciting transparent canvases for vibrant, large-scale communication without affecting the architecture negatively.
